Pricing questions
Is the Free tier really free? Do I need to sign up?
Yes. Free gives you 1,000 requests/day per IP address with no signup and no API key. Create an account only if you want a key, usage tracking, or to upgrade.
What counts as one request?
One API call is one request, including a search-bar search or MCP tool call that fans out to several checks behind the scenes. Bulk lookups are charged per item (each IP in a
POST /v1/ip/bulk counts), and nearby places and premium phone lookups have their own separate budgets.What happens if I go over my daily limit?
Requests return HTTP 429 with a
Retry-After header until the window resets at 00:00 UTC, or until you move to a higher tier. Nothing breaks on your side beyond those rejected calls.Is city-level geolocation or IPv6 locked to paid plans?
City, postal code, and latitude/longitude are returned at every tier, including Free, and IPv6 addresses are supported too — paid tiers raise your volume and add bulk lookup, support, and an SLA rather than gating location precision.
Do carrier and porting phone lookups cost extra?
No. Premium phone lookups are included in every plan — 100 per month on Free, 1,000 on Pro, and 5,000 on Enterprise. Once you use them up you keep getting the free format/region/line-type result for the rest of the month.
